EET: Reach Weight Loss Goals By Breaking Weekend GAIN Cycle – 4 SIMPLE STEPS

Mr. EET rarely gets to DQ so the 2 Blizzards are HIS treat on a weekend visit (Mrs. EET gets her own!) — How do you ever lose weight (or keep it off) EETing this way?  YOU BETTER HAVE A PLAN.

So you lose a few pounds during the week, in your nicely structured work week pattern, then gain them all back (or worse) while relaxing and “going off” your diet plan for the weekend.

Sound familiar?

This approach to weight loss is okay for maintenance – IF YOU ARE ALREADY IN YOUR GOAL WEIGHT RANGE.

But what about for folks who want to see significant weight loss?  How can you ever break this “Weekend Weight Gain Cycle?”  If you’re finally convinced that another round of dieting harder and exercising endlessly is a road right back to where you are today (or worse), then you’re ready for some new ideas and EET has them.

EET has a proven 4 step plan for breaking the weekend weight gain cycle that takes almost no time or effort at all.

Step 1)      PLAN YOUR WEEKEND STARTING MONDAY

Starting Monday is the key.  This is the RADICAL change that can change everything!

Write down your best guess for your weekend plans and how you would realistically deal with them in order to achieve ONE OUNCE OF WEIGHT LOSS at your Monday morning weigh in (see #3 below for weigh in strategy).

And here’s more radical thought from EET:  You don’t have to be perfect on weekends, just figure out the easiest possible plan that will let you lose 1 ounce!

Step 2)      REVIEW AND ADJUST YOUR WRITTEN WEEKEND PLAN EACH DAY FOR 2 MINUTES / DAY

DON’T SKIP A DAY of review, even if nothing has changed. Read it over,  visualize it happening with the result being 1 ounce of weight loss.  Tuesday through Friday are the most important days for this step but do it every day.

3)      WEIGH IN FRIDAY MORNING AND MONDAY MORNING – ASSESS HOW YOU DID.

If you succeeded, CONGRATS!  Go for 2 ounces next week – work your way up to 1 POUND of weight loss BUT NEVER MORE THAN THAT ON A WEEKEND.

If you did not succeed – DON’T GET DISCOURAGED!  Hopefully you gained less than normal and THAT’S PROGRESS which leads to success!

4) PRACTICE 1-3 ABOVE TILL YOU GET IT RIGHT

You will improve with practice – (why people think they have weight loss skills without a lot of practice is a mystery to EET).  Weekend management is a new skill that has to overcome years of your old habits.

What other new skill (skiing, foreign language, embroidery) would you expect to have mastered in a single week?  Weight loss is just another skill, AND CAN BE LEARNED OVER TIME no matter what all the intuitive and emotional gurus would have you believe.

  1. Crazily, weekends have been my best time since I started EET. I almost always weigh a tiny little bit less Monday morning than I did Friday morning.
