Here’s some helpful research about how we deal with TIME to guide you from “Time Warped: Unlocking the Mysteries of Time Perception:
“The way we hold the future in mind has important consequences for decision-making…Although we know intellectually that every activity we choose comes at the expense of other ways to use these hours, this only seems to matter to us in the near future; in the distant future we simplify the situation and omit crucial elements, forgetting that in a year’s time we will be just as busy.
This optimism that we have more time in the future is fascinating, because we never seem to learn that it’s not true. So we postpone going to the gym today because we’re too busy, but sincerely intend to go tomorrow. We retain a constant optimism about our future selves. We’ll be better, we’ll be more organized. And, therefore, we’ll have more time. A year from now we picture ourselves as consistent, methodical people who could easily fit in some extra activities. But when we consider ourselves next week, we couldn’t possibly take anything else on.”
So now you know more about how TIME FRAMES, and timing decisions pretty much control your future. And you can see that it’s not so “different for everyone” as you might think. You can keep hoping that somehow your schedule and the stress associated with your busy life will somehow miraculously disappear, and you can then put laser beam focus on your goals, or you account for the way your brain perceives different time frame decisions in your weight loss and fitness plan. That’s what The EET Fitness Plan does, but you do have to be willing to learn a new way of thinking about time as it relates to weight loss, fitness and your relationship with food. For example — think how different your weight loss and fitness efforts might be if you understood how to positively utilize this EET Guideline IN THE MOMENT before, during and after every bite of food you take:
