Can you crash diet and lose a lot of weight very quickly and keep it off for years? Science says no. Experts now say crash dieting is horrible, even dangerous and should be avoided at all costs. I say MAYBE, and I’m going to show you how in a few simple steps including specific meal and timing menus.
Step 1 Some Essential Tools
During every minute of your crash diet and for some time afterwards you must actively study and remember the following information or your efforts to keep the weight off are doomed.
This chart that is a summary of over 20 years of weight loss studies shows you what normally happens when you try to crash diet by counting calories or even more dramatic, tracking very low calories.
This chart is chocked full of crash dieters who were sure they could keep the weight off, but it never lasted. Throughout your crash diet efforts (and beyond) you’ll want to focus on this chart and visualize your results creating a different graph–maybe something like this one.
And finally and by far and away your most important essential tool as you begin your crash dieting efforts — remember this:
If you only have one thought about weight loss, this is the thought. Write it down 1000 times a day. Then repeat it out loud 1000 times a day. There will be no success without this thought front and center in your mind at all times.
These charts must be studied, and studied, and studied. This information needs to be so locked in your brain that no challenge can make you forget about them. THAT is the correct start to a crash diet that can bring years of results.
But It Doesn’t Make Sense!
If you’re thinking ahead, you’ve already asked the key question:
How can a crash diet make sense when there’s no way it can last, yet the key thought to success while crash dieting is “If it doesn’t last, it doesn’t work?”.
That’s the right question, and you’ll get that answer in Step 2 coming in my next post:
STEP 2 Decide Your Targets and Time Frames
Meanwhile, Step 1 is the only thing that matters if you’re serious about successful crash dieting for lasting results.
